Visiting the website

Our technical hosting provider is Netlify, Inc. When you visit the website, technically necessary connection data are processed, especially your IP address, the time, requested page and browser information. This is necessary to deliver the website, diagnose errors and defend against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data are retained only as long as needed for operation and security; technical logs are subject to the provider’s retention periods.

Room enquiries

If you enquire about a room using the form or by email, we use your details to assess the enquiry, suggest suitable rooms and contact you. These details include your name, email address, age, preferred move-in period and information about your plans, room needs and shared living. Fields marked optional help us find a match but are not required. The legal basis is taking steps before entering into a contract at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Without the required contact and move-in details, we cannot reasonably process an enquiry.

Messages are sent and received through the IONOS mailbox interesse@wg-zimmer-nuernberg.de. This mailbox is connected to Immoware24 to process room enquiries. The website itself does not maintain an applicant database.

We delete enquiries when they are no longer needed for finding a room, unless statutory retention duties apply. If you expressly ask to join the waiting list, we keep your enquiry until that request is dealt with or you ask us to delete it.

Optional phone number and contact with residents

We only pass an optional phone number to residents of a suitable shared flat if you expressly permit this in the form. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw it at any time for the future using the contact details above. We can process your room enquiry without this consent.

Recipients and transfers outside the EU

Our website-hosting, email and property-management providers process data on our behalf. If data are processed outside the EU, we rely on the data-protection safeguards provided by the relevant service provider. We can explain the safeguards applicable to your data on request. We otherwise share data only when needed for your enquiry, with your consent, or as legally required.

Cookies and analytics

We currently do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this website. Floor plans and 360° tours are served from this website; opening them does not connect you to the previous WG website.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time for the future. No decision about your room enquiry is made solely by automated means. Please contact klaus.wuest@kkwprojekte.de with questions or requests. You may also lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority; the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA) supervises private businesses in Bavaria.
